My Peaceful Family was founded in 2008 by Etsuko Tsukagoshi.

Etsuko Tsukagoshi is a certified Parent Educator through the International Network for Children and Families. She is also a coach, writer/blogger focused on “Creating a peaceful family through conscious parenting”. In her own journey of being a mother of two young children while working full time as an Executive Director of a non-profit organization, she was inspired to become a coach & parent educator and created My Peaceful Family. Being an expatriate herself, her focus is also helping the expats and their families.

Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Etsuko worked in the non-profit sector. Her journey started with her childhood dream of working for one of the United Nations organizations in Germany and Japan. Her work allowed her the opportunity to visit project sites in countries such as Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, South Africa, Lesotho, Syria, Lebanon, Kosovo, Cambodia, Laos, Viet Nam, Surinam and Ecuador. After her United Nations tour of duty, she relocated to San Diego, CA, where she works for a Japanese school as Executive Director.

Her passion is to share the knowledge and skills to be at peace within, and create a cooperative, honest and strong relationship between couples, parent-child and peer relationships. She believes that you can create a peaceful family anywhere you choose, or anyone you desire for that matter.

Etsuko teaches a 5-week course titled Redirecting Children’s Behavior in San Diego, as well as one-on-one coaching via telephone or Skype. Her clients are individual expats or those with families and/or with children, and she can coach on any issues they may face in their host country.
